FAQ

  • Do you take on freelance or commission work?

Yes! I'm available for freelance illustration projects, including children's books, editorial work, educational content, and custom commissions. Feel free to reach out through my Contact page with details about your project.

  • What types of illustration do you specialize in?

I specialise in children’s book illustration with a focus on vibrant colours, expressive characters, and strong storytelling. My work is suitable for picture books, early readers, mid-grade and other kid-friendly formats—both digital and print.

  • What is your illustration process like?

Once we agree on the project scope, I typically begin with rough sketches or storyboards, followed by refined drawings, colour studies, and final artwork. I keep clients involved through regular updates and review stages to ensure everything aligns with your vision.

  • What are your rates?

Pricing depends on the scope and type of project (number of illustrations, usage rights, deadlines, etc.). Please get in touch with your project details, and I’ll be happy to provide a tailored quote.

  • What tools or mediums do you use?

I work in both digital and traditional media. Most of my current work is created digitally using Procreate and Photoshop, but I also enjoy using ink, watercolour, graphic pencils, and screen printing in personal projects.

  • Do you illustrate bilingual or international books?

Yes! I’ve worked on bilingual books and am open to international projects. Language, culture, and storytelling are central to my work, and I love collaborating on diverse, inclusive stories.

  • How long does a children’s book project usually take?

Timelines vary depending on the number of illustrations, complexity, and schedule. A full picture book typically takes 3–6 months, but this can change depending on the specifics. Let’s discuss what works best for your timeline.

  • Can you help self-publishing authors?

Absolutely! I enjoy working with indie authors and can guide you through the illustration process—from character design to final page layout. While I don’t offer publishing or printing services, I can provide press-ready files and advice along the way.

  • How do I get started working with you?

Simply head over to the Contact page and send a message with some details about your project. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible so we can discuss your ideas further!
